Southern Cross Tours & Expeditions is a Brazil-based travel agency in Arraial do Cabo (Rio de Janeiro State), founded in 1995 by Peter Rohmer. We organize fully private, tailor-made tours across the Amazon, the Pantanal, Northeast Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and the Green Coast, with guides speaking English, German and Portuguese.

In the Pantanal we saw an enormous variety of wild animals, many species of birds, reptiles, armadillos, anteaters, several jaguars, caimans, monkeys, a tapir, various species of parrots and much more. We also spent a few days on a fazenda in the South Pantanal. There you could still experience the authentic life on a large cattle ranch, with cowboys, horses, cattle and many wild animals up close.
